This top up route is available as professional development for those who have previously trained in veterinary physiotherapy and who have at least two years experience working under veterinary referral. We recognise that there are working, experienced practitioners who would like to complete Level 6 assessment and demonstrate where their knowledge and skills meet day one competencies for veterinary physiotherapy. Through recognition of prior learning and experience it is now possible to complete a fast track through some of the modules for these courses.

Our courses have been endorsed under the ABC Awards’ Quality Licence Scheme. This means that Justo Development Ltd has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet certain quality criteria. Learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 6 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner. ABC Awards’ endorsement involves robust and rigorous quality audits by external auditors to ensure quality is continually met. A review of courses is carried out as part of the endorsement process.

Delivery

Learners will study through our online learning platform with group and personal tutor interaction. Formative assessment and feedback is conducted throughout the course. Interaction is an essential part of the learning experience and learners work together in classes to share their knowledge and experience with each other.

Self study time is approximately 12/15 hours per week. Learners are expected to be active practitioners and are required to keep a log of their cases throughout the period of the course. A case study report forms the final assignment. There is one optional classroom workshop during the course and an advanced practical workshop towards the end of the course. Final assessment comprises a final case study assignment, final theory examination and final practical assessments.

Non- UK students

The top up course can be taken from anywhere in the world. Assessment will be arranged locally.
